To perform architectural studies to define and justify the best-suited concept with respect to the top level customer needs considering aspects such as feasibility, design maturity, implementation efforts and risks Definition of the electrical architecture in terms of requirements and to ensure the correct and complete flow-down to lower level equipment suppliers To coordinate your work within the OHB systems engineering team with lead engineers in other technical domains, e.g. thermal, accommodation, software To manage key budgets on power, discrete interfaces, data rates, bus loads and TM/TC To support the evaluation, selection and progress monitoring of lower level suppliers to ensure the proper implementation of the electrical architecture Presentation of the work in your area to other team members, suppliers and customers in technical meetings To perform shadow engineering / trade-offs / risk estimation for critical subjects Management and assessment of technical impacts from RFD/RFW/NCRs within your domain of responsibility in case of non-conformances and in cooperation with the systems engineering team Review of the technical documentation provided by suppliers and active support of subcontractor reviews To ensure adequate requirements verification in the electrical and functional domain by assigning verification methods and by contributing to test plans, establishment of test specifications and negotiation of these aspects with suppliers and customers in cooperation with the verifications manager Management and harmonization of electrical interfaces between separate units in close cooperation with the suppliers Contribution to proposals for new potential projects Depending on the project size it may become necessary to coordinate the work of a team of engineers supporting you to perform your work, e.g. harness engineering, EMC engineering, electrical engineering

For immediate commencement of employment, the Electronics Design Department at OHB System AG in Oberpfaffenhofen is looking for an Electrical Lead Systems Engineer (m/f) In this position you will be part of the OHB systems engineering team for large space projects as the leading responsible for all electrical subjects in specific projects.
