As a Global Support Engineer, you provide 3rd level product support to our customers. You will deliver first-in-class technical solutions to address the customer's needs. As a recognized support expert, travel and customer facing activities are required. As a recognized global support expert for Advantest Semiconductor Test Systems, you are: Accountable for global technical escalation management Responsible to define and measure support requirements for new Advantest product development ensuring supportability at lowest support cost Subject matter expert, defining service documentation and training for all new product introductions Conducts trainings to propagate knowledge to all regional service organizations worldwide Responsible for product quality, reliability, and compatibility of the installed base Drives global continuous improvements in enhancing the capability and efficiency in delivering support towards customer

Those experts provide technical support to our customers and the worldwide field service teams for both, hardware and software issues related to the infrastructure of our V93000 test systems. The team in Böblingen provides 3rd level support to our customers. It has a close relationship to our regional Field Service Engineers. In addition, the team ensures, in close collaboration with our R&D, that new products adhere to our "Design for Supportability" guidelines. Job Duties and Responsibilities: As a Global Support Engineer, you provide 3rd level product support to our customers. You will deliver first-in-class technical solutions to address the customer's needs. With your versatile skills, you can manage projects with cross-functional teams, have a solid tactical and strategical thinking and understanding of regional and cultural differences to meet the support requirements of our customers in a timely manner. As a recognized support expert, travel and customer facing activities are required. As a recognized global support expert for Advantest Semiconductor Test Systems, you are: Accountable for global technical escalation management Responsible to define and measure support requirements for new Advantest product development ensuring supportability at lowest support cost Subject matter expert, defining service documentation and training for all new product introductions Conducts trainings to propagate knowledge to all regional service organizations worldwide Responsible for product quality, reliability, and compatibility of the installed base Drives global continuous improvements in enhancing the capability and efficiency in delivering support towards customer Your Profile: Master's degree in Electronics, Physics, or Mechatronics, or related with relevant years of experience as an R&D, / production or support engineer Successfully managed cross functional and cross geographical projects Structured and success-oriented problem solver Ability to translate and simplify problems and complexity into manageable tasks Want: Solid mechanical background/experience Effective communication in English in verbal and written form, including customer facing skills Excellent global teamwork skills Process oriented, structured, and analytical thinking Can-do-attitude, proactive and self-disciplined Customer focused and good understanding of customer requirements and needs Why Advantest?
